KzVault
Your team’s Obsidian notes, in sync.
A new vault, ready to use
The easiest way: an empty vault with KzVault installed, turned on and pointed at this server.
- Install Obsidian, if you do not have it yet.
- Download the vault and unzip it.
- In Obsidian, choose Open folder as vault and pick the KzVault folder. When Obsidian asks, choose Trust author and enable plugins.
- KzVault greets you: use the invitation code your admin gave you and choose your password. Your notes arrive right after.
Only the plugin, for a vault you already have
Your notes join the space: nothing is overwritten, and files that differ are kept side by side.
- Install Obsidian, if you do not have it yet.
- Download the plugin and unzip it: you get a folder called kz-vault.
- Put that folder inside your vault, in
.obsidian/plugins/(createpluginsif it is not there). The.obsidianfolder is hidden: on macOS press Cmd Shift . in Finder; on Windows, in File Explorer, choose View › Show › Hidden items. - In Obsidian, open Settings › Community plugins, turn community plugins on if they are off, and enable KzVault (reload the list if it is not there).
- In Settings › KzVault, use your invitation code or log in, then choose your space and connect.
Already using KzVault? There is no need for this: it updates itself.
